Den Bosch

Den Bosch is a municipality and city in the Netherlands, it is the capital of the province North-Brabant and has a population of around 152,968 residents. The city is most well-known for its Bossche bollen, medieval city center and being the birthplace of the Dutch renaissance artist of Hieronymus Bosch. It was chosen as the most hospitable city in the Netherlands in the years 2010 to 2013.

The city is full of medieval architecture, lively jazz cafés, restaurants and more. Enjoy Den Bosch by taking a boat tour along the canal, or by exploring the city on a unique vehicle, such as a DAF33 or Segway.  Visit the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center, which is a museum dedicated to the works of Hieronymus Bosch, also called Jeroen Bosch. Or explore the St. John’s Cathedral, an exquisite Gothic style building in the city. Another interesting highlight is the Jazz in Duketown festival, which is the biggest (free) open-air jazz-festival in the Netherlands. This event takes place for 4 days during Pentecost, and it attracts around 130.000 to 150.000 visitors per year. Of course, the city has so much more to offer; experience it yourself!
