Genk

Genk is a city that is located in Limburg, near Hasselt, with a population of around 66,100 residents. It is considered to be one of most important industrial towns in Flanders. The city is well-known for its coalmines, being a green city and celebrating many different cultures and nationalities such as Turk, Pole, Italian, Walloon and Flem. This city has recently been voted being ‘’the friendliest city in Europe’’. The main language spoken in Genk is Dutch (Flemish), followed by French, English, German, and more.
