• War Museum in Overloon. War belongs in the Museum, that is the motto of the War Museum. In this museum you will be able to visually familiarize yourself with the various relevant developments during the Second World War. There is attention for the opposition, the persecution and liberation, with special attention to the Battle of Overloon.
• Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. This is the biggest indoor Museum in the Netherlands. Artworks include The Night Watch by Rembrandt, The Milkmaid by Vermeer, and many more.
• Mauritshuis in The Hague. This is a small museum, but it contains various artworks, such as the Girl With a Pearl Earring by Vermeer.
• Anne Frank House. This is a museum and monument in the memory of Anne Frank and her Jewish family. She was in hiding in Prinsengracht 263, which is where she wrote her famous diary ”Het Achterhuis” (The Secret Annexe).

Alternative and less conventional options include:

• Philips Museum Eindhoven. The Philips Museum is located in Eindhoven, in Philip’s first light bulb factory. In the museum the visitors will be able to delve into the history of the Philips company.
• Moco Museum Amsterdam. The goal of the Moco Museum is to make modern and contemporary art accesible to the general public. The collection that the Moco showcases includes artworks from artists like Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, JR, Jean-Michel, Basquiat, Yayoi Kusama, Banksy, Andy Warhol Basquiat and more.
• Naturalis Biodiversity Center Leiden. ”Naturalis is the national research institute for biodiversity.” The new museum of Naturalis exhibits galleries about the Dinosaur Era, Death, Life of Early Humans, Earth, Life, Live Science, Seduction (of plants and animals) and life on Earth during the Ice Age.
