The Hague/Scheveningen

Join us to The Hague and/or Scheveningen!

The Hague is the third-largest city in the Netherlands, with a population of more than 1 million residents. This city is the seat of the States-General, the Cabinet, the Supreme Court, the Council of State and it hosts the International Court of Justice. The city is known as the home of international arbitration and law. In total, there are around 200 international government organizations in this city.

The city has a political atmosphere, but it also has cultural aspects. Apart from all the institutions, The Hague is known for many other things as well. For example, it is the only ‘’big’’ city in the Netherlands that has a beach directly on the coast of the North Sea. In addition, there are many monuments, art museums, high-end shopping centers, and restaurants.

The Hague is constantly contemplating any future growth opportunities, and it has established some initiatives (especially regarding sustainability). A proposal by UNStudio is an example of a possible initiative. The proposal aims to transform the city into a self-sufficient and green district. They make use of physical architectural interventions, in order to offer solutions to problems. An example is the Hyperloop (which other cities are taking part in as well, such as Rotterdam). This is a landmark for mobility. Another example is Biopulus water treatment, and gateways to connect neighborhoods.

The Hague is a city of politics, international law and peace, and justice. The city is modern, fast-paced with a long-term mindset. A trip to The Hague would definitely be a unique experience for you and your colleagues. Are you interested in an incentive trip, after reading the history and future vision of The Hague?
