Zandvoort
Zandvoort is known as being one of the major beach resorts in the Netherlands. In addition, it is the site of one of the most important auto racing circuits in the Netherlands (Circuit Zandvoort). (In 2020, the Dutch Grand Prix was supposed to be held at the Circuit of Zandvoort, which would be the first time in 35 years. However, due to events and circumstances regarding COVID-19, this event was cancelled.)
Sometimes referred to as ‘’Parel aan Zee’’, which translates to ‘’Pearl at Sea’’, the city boasts kilometers of long, white beaches. It is surrounded by two beautiful dune areas, that are filled with beautiful flora and fauna.
With a population of 16,954, it is not a major city, but nonetheless, there is much to explore at this wonderful location. This destination is suitable for those who wish to relax at the beach, explore many pavilions or ride a Ferrari on a circuit that hosts Formula 1 races.
Zandvoort is a city of relaxation, beaches, and racing. The city is laid-back, but it can also be sportive and active.
